Santo Domingo.- This Monday, June 30, the summer camp of the Club Atlético Tigres del Licey began, which will be held at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium from 8:00 in the morning and will extend for three weeks, until July 18.
Hundreds of boys and girls, from the age of five, were enrolled by their parents, motivated by the success of previous editions of the "Licey Summer Camp", which has provided memorable experiences to the youngest ones.
In the inaugural act, Miguel Ángel Fernández, former president and current treasurer of the club, offered the welcoming words in which he highlighted: "Baseball is like life, it requires dedication, passion, perseverance, companionship and, above all, respect".

"Last year we achieved great things and this year we are going for more. We want your children to enjoy and learn with each dynamic we have prepared," said Cynthia Morillo, director of Public Relations of the team. During the camp, the children will be organized by categories and will receive instruction in baseball given by active players from the Tigres del Licey, led by Lisalverto Bonilla. Club Atlético Licey has also established a collaboration with the local Major League Baseball office, which will give educational talks on nutrition, steroid abuse, legal documentation, education, and civic discipline. Participants will also visit Major League academies installed in the country. Also, girls will have a comprehensive program that includes baseball, volleyball, self-defense, as well as crafts workshops, etiquette and protocol, among other formative and recreational activities.
