Monte Plata. – Within the framework of an ordinary session of the Council of Councilors of the City Council of Monte Plata, the National Commission of Human Rights – Monte Plata Branch (CNDH-RD) formally delivered a proposal document aimed at promoting a comprehensive campaign to prevent traffic accidents, given the high numbers of accidents affecting the province.
During the session of the Chapter House, the delegation of the CNDH-RD informed that this document will also be sent to other governmental and non-governmental instances, with the aim of actively joining this initiative of high human and social interest. Monte Plata currently figures among the demarcations with worrying accident rates, many of them with fatal consequences and permanent sequelae for families.
In the act, representatives from different communities of the province were present, who thanked and supported the intervention of the Commission, valuing the preventive approach and the commitment to the defense of the right to life and road safety.
