Santo Domingo. - The National Police reported that Ray Steeven Pichardo Betancourt, nicknamed “Ray”, “Gordin” and/or “El Misionero del 27”, who was actively sought for allegedly committing multiple assaults in Ensanche Ozama, voluntarily surrendered.
The man, against whom arrest warrant No. 973-2025-EMES-10931 was pending for alleged violation of article 379 of the Penal Code, was received by Colonel Diego Pesqueira, police spokesman, and immediately transferred to the corresponding jurisdiction in Santo Domingo Este, to be placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
"We are receiving the young man and will proceed to send him to the jurisdiction where the arrest warrant was issued, in compliance with established protocols. It will be in the justice system where his responsibility or lack thereof in the present case will be established," said Pesqueira.
The voluntary surrender occurred after the law enforcement institution announced the arrest warrant issued by a competent court.
The National Police reiterates its commitment to citizen security and the prosecution of crimes, while thanking the collaboration of the media and citizens in the fight against crime.
