Likewise, the airport obtained 4 stars from Skytrax, a quality approval seal awarded to airports that offer high-level facilities and services verified through audit visits, where everything from its infrastructure, processing services, ambiance, and level of experiences that passengers go through are validated. In the case of Punta Cana Airport, an exhaustive 3-day audit was carried out, where the functional facilities and services provided by the airport for its passengers and visitors were put to the test, as well as the ambiance and type of experiences enjoyed through its facilities.
Among the outstanding improvements is the renovation of the interior and expansion of the check-in area, exceeding the standard compared to other airports, improvements in seating accommodations, facilities for families, improvements in infrastructure and commercial and gastronomic offerings, and the systems implemented for the agile processing of passengers.
