Santo Domingo. - With the presence of the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, the 105th follow-up meeting to the Citizen Security Plan began this Monday to continue reinforcing safer environments throughout the national territory.
The work session began at 10:11 a.m., after Peña arrived at the Officers' Club Hall of the National Police Palace, where every Monday civil authorities, police, and military personnel review provincial statistics on security and crime reduction.
Likewise, the vice president and other officials evaluate the assigned tasks, achievements obtained and the measures to continue guaranteeing the well-being of Dominicans.
In the company of the vice president, are the Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza; of Interior and Police, Faride Raful, and of Defense, Lieutenant General Carlos Antonio Fernández Onofre; the Attorney General of the Republic, Yeni Berenice Reynoso; the director of the National Police, Major General Ramón Antonio Guzmán Peralta, and the executive commissioner for Police Reform, Luis Ernesto García Hernández.
Also, the president of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), Vice Admiral José Manuel Cabrera Ulloa, and the president of the National Drug Council (CND), Alejandro de Jesús Abreu; the director of Migration, Vice Admiral Luis Rafael Lee Ballester; of the Military and Police Commission (Comipol), Colonel Luis Rafael Herrera Almonte; of the General Directorate of Transit and Ground Transportation Safety (Digesett), General Pascual Cruz Méndez; of the Tourism Police (Politur), General Minoru Matsunaga; of Internal Affairs of the National Police, General Werner Núñez Quezada; of the School Police, Colonel Martín Miguel Tapia Sánchez, and of Prisons, Roberto Hernández Basilio.
A commission of prosecutors participates in the meeting, including the one from the National District, Rosalba Ramos; from San Cristóbal, Ramona Santana; from La Vega, Aura Luz García; from María Trinidad Sánchez, Juan Antonio Mateo Ciprián; from La Altagracia, Claudia Garrido; from San Pedro de Macorís, Suleyka Mateo, and from Duarte, Smaily Yamel Rodríguez.
