Las Terrena.-Senator Pedro Catrain participated this Friday in the Reflection Meeting on the Territorial Planning of Las Terrenas, a key event for the future of sustainable development and territorial planning in the region. The meeting brought together representatives from different public and private sectors, as well as experts in urban and environmental planning, with the aim of establishing the criteria that will guide the orderly and balanced growth of this important tourist destination. During his intervention, Catrain emphasized the need to find a balance between economic development and environmental protection.

"Las Terrenas is one of the most visited destinations in the country, but we must ensure that its growth is sustainable, respectful of the environment, and beneficial for local communities," expressed the senator.

The event also featured the participation of community leaders, local authorities, and experts in urban planning and the environment, who discussed the challenges and opportunities of land use planning in the region. Topics such as the protection of natural areas, adequate infrastructure for population growth, and the creation of public policies that promote inclusive development were addressed.
