Dajabón. – With the purpose of ensuring an orderly and efficient start-up, the director of the National Health Service (SNS), doctor Julio Landrón, informed that the Matías Ramón Mella Provincial Hospital, handed over to the SNS by the Ministry of Housing and Buildings (MIVED), for its commissioning, will begin the progressive opening of its services from February 16th.
Dr. Landrón highlighted that the residents of Dajabón had been waiting for more than 80 years for a hospital with the necessary conditions to address their health needs in a timely manner, and today President Luis Abinader fulfilled their requirements, delivering a new hospital to dignify the care received by users.
The opening schedule contemplates, in a first phase, the habilitation of the areas of external consultations, as well as the services of Images and Laboratory, which will allow to begin to offer outpatient care and diagnostic support to the population of the province and nearby communities."More than a beautiful building, this will be an establishment where humanized treatment of patients is prioritized, a goal that we have set out to achieve in all hospitals of the Public Network," stated the executive director of the SNS.
