The Federal Council (Swiss Executive) confirmed this Wednesday in its weekly meeting the country's plans to hold the global summit on artificial intelligence in Geneva in 2027.
The final venue will be announced in February in Delhi (India), during the 2026 summit edition, indicated a statement from the Swiss government.
The federal departments of foreign affairs, communications, energy, transport and environment have already completed the necessary preparations for the organization of a summit of this magnitude, and close collaboration with India has also been established in this regard, added the Federal Council.

In previous years, summits have been held to address the security challenges posed by artificial intelligence in Paris (2025), Seoul (2024), and the British town of Milton Keynes (2023).
