Los Angeles.- Singer Taylor Swift donated one million dollars to the NGO Feeding America, the main network to combat hunger in the United States.
"This holiday season, your continued support is a powerful reminder of what is possible when we come together to eradicate hunger," said the organization's executive director, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, in a statement on Tuesday.
Feeding America thanked Swift's contribution as a show of unity to "ensure that families have a full table this Christmas and in the future," the writing added.
Taylor Swift's Philanthropic Side
The pop star has made several donations in the past to the non-profit organization, including a million-dollar donation in October of last year to help the victims of hurricanes Helene and Milton, which devastated parts of the southeastern United States.
Swift's contribution helped communities affected by these disasters recover, providing essential food, drinking water, and supplies to people affected by these devastating storms.
The latest report from Feeding America, the largest network of food banks in the United States, estimates that food insecurity has escalated to affect 47 million people across the country, of whom 14 million are Latinos.
