The rules that La Casa de Alofoke 2 followed to be crowned with the Guinness record for the longest live broadcast in the world

Santo Domingo.– Dominican Republic made history this Thursday after La Casa de Alofoke 2 officially obtained the Guinness Record for “Longest Live Stream (video)”, after completing 916 hours of uninterrupted transmission, far surpassing the previous mark of 624 hours, established in China in 2022.

The adjudication was confirmed by "Susana Reyes", official representative of Guinness World Records, during the closing ceremony that crowned 38 consecutive days of broadcasting. Reyes explained that it all began on October 20, when he made his first visit to the facilities of La Casa de Alofoke 2 at Lantica Studios, to inspect each technical area and validate if it met the international standards required for the record attempt.

“Today I am here not only to close a broadcast, but to bear witness to a process that has pushed the discipline of this team, the technical precision, and the resilience of all of you to the limit,” said the representative.

During the initial evaluation, systems, equipment, connections, operational infrastructure, and technical conditions were reviewed, in addition to gathering formal evidence for the record file.

Once the transmission started, the strictest phase was activated: continuous monitoring. The process included the presence of independent witnesses Claribel Adames, Joan Mejía, Katherine Díaz and Juan Carlos Arvelo, along with teams from Guinness World Records of London and America, who monitored in real time the fulfillment of all the rules.

To validate the record, Guinness demanded that the following rules be strictly followed:

  • Completely uninterrupted transmission.
  • Maintain the same event throughout the broadcast.
  • Continuous content, without pauses or technical cuts.
  • Permanent audience presence, with at least 50 people connected at all times.
  • Active audience within the required parameters.
  • Specialized witnesses keeping official and verifiable logs.
According to Reyes, La Casa de Alofoke 2 greatly exceeded each of these requirements. Visibly excited, the CEO of Alofoke Media Group, Santiago Matías, celebrated with the team and the millions of viewers who followed the broadcast day and night.

"This is a record for the Dominican Republic and for all of you who are there," Matias affirmed.

The feat positions the country on the world stage of digital entertainment, becoming a reference for production, resilience, and technical capacity.

A Historic Achievement for Dominican Television and Streaming

With 916 continuous hours of broadcasting, La Casa de Alofoke 2 not only broke a record: it consolidated a cultural phenomenon that mobilized millions of viewers and marked a before and after in the production of reality shows in the region. Guinness World Records officially certifies that Dominican Republic is now the country holding the longest live broadcast in history.
