They beat "Mantequilla" after alleged pursuit in Monte Plata

Monte Plata.– Wilkin García Peguero, known as “Mantequilla”, was admitted to the emergency room of the provincial hospital of Monte Plata after allegedly being physically assaulted by several people, in an incident that occurred this afternoon on the Monte Plata–El Cacique road.

According to versions obtained unofficially, García Peguero was traveling in a vehicle when he would have been pursued by individuals aboard a white SUV, resulting in an accident on the road, after which they caught up with him and assaulted him, inflicting blows, including head injuries. According to preliminary medical information, he has a left frontal wound that required five stitches, while the health personnel continue to evaluate his general condition.

So far, no official report has been issued on the severity of his condition, nor has the identity of the alleged aggressors been confirmed.

Wilkin García Peguero gained public notoriety in 2022 after heading the company Inversiones 3.14, based in Sabana Grande de Boyá, a case that generated widespread national repercussions and legal proceedings for alleged financial irregularities. The authorities have not offered an official version of the incident, so it is expected that an investigation will be launched to clarify the circumstances of the event.
