Santo Domingo Este. – During the early hours of this Sunday, one of the pedestrian bridges located on the Las Américas highway was dismantled, as part of the works coordinated by the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) and executed by the Consorcio Autopista Las Américas.
The dismantling process required the temporary de-energization of several electrical circuits, a measure implemented by the Eastern Electricity Distribution Company (Edeeste) to ensure the safety of technical personnel and citizens.
As a result, residents of sectors such as Arismar, Barrio Nuevo, Campechito, Los Farallones, Frailes I, Molinos-América, San Bartolo, Los Tres Ojos, Maquiteria, Marbella II and III, among others, experienced interruptions in the electrical service between 12:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.
