Santo Domingo. - For today, mostly stable and favorable conditions will prevail for outdoor activities in a large part of the national territory, due to the limited incidence of a frontal system located over the Windward Passage. Only weak and isolated rains are expected, mainly in provinces of the northeast and southeast during morning hours, while, in the afternoon, very isolated showers could occur in some sectors of the southwest and Central Mountain Range, according to the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET).
Tomorrow, Thursday, sunny in the morning, however, an increase in cloudiness will be observed during the afternoon, due to the influence of an almost stationary frontal system and its trough. These conditions will favor the occurrence of weak rains in southeastern provinces such as El Seibo, La Romana, and La Altagracia.
During the afternoon, the rains will continue to be weak and isolated, affecting El Seibo, San José de Ocoa, Azua, Santiago Rodríguez, Dajabon, San Juan, Elias Piña and Independencia, and could continue at night in an isolated manner in some locations of Santiago, Valverde, La Vega, Duarte, Hato Mayor and other points on the north coast.

Temperatures will feel cool during the morning, becoming slightly hot in the afternoon due to the sun's incidence. However, they will continue to be pleasant to cool during the night and early morning, typical of the time of year, this thermal sensation being more noticeable in mountainous areas and inland valleys, where morning fogs or mists could occur. Minimum temperatures between 21 °C and 23 °C and the maximum between 30 °C and 32 °C. By Friday, the front will be stationary north of the country. In the morning, some weak and isolated showers are expected in coastal areas of the provinces: Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Espaillat and Puerto Plata. In the afternoon, we forecast that the environment will be mostly stable, with a decrease in cloudiness and precipitation, with good weather prevailing in most of the country due to the entry of dry air and the dominance of high pressure.
