Writing.- Traffic was restored on the Majagual section of the Juan Pablo II highway, at the entrance to Los Haitises National Park, after landslides of earth and rocks caused by the intense rains recorded in recent days. The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) reported that brigades immediately intervened in the affected area, using heavy equipment and two backhoes to carry out the controlled demolition of the rocks, which allowed the road to be cleared in the shortest possible time and circulation to be restored. The institution highlighted that the operation was carried out in an agile and timely manner, avoiding further setbacks for drivers who use this important route.
