Last Minute launches "DUM News" in New York, English version of its newspaper

New York.- The renowned digital media outlet De Último Minuto officially launched its English version under the name “De Último Minuto News” (DUM News), during a special event held in the city of New York, one of the areas with the largest presence of the Dominican diaspora in the United States.

The announcement was made by its director, Héctor Romero, who highlighted the importance of the move towards an international audience and connected with the events of the Dominican Republic from anywhere in the world. "Today we are launching this product that is part of the Alofoke Media Group family, it is our newspaper in English, and the statistics indicate that our largest readership is in the United States," Romero said during his speech.


The executive explained that, due to the accelerated growth the medium has experienced in its almost four years, they have initiated an investment process with the aim of expanding its international reach.

The co-creator of De Último Minuto, highlighted that this new proposal will allow connecting with a global audience and position the media as an informative reference in both Spanish and English.


In that sense, Melvin de León, Chairman of the Board of Directors, announced the upcoming opening of offices in New York, which will allow for a more direct connection with the Dominican diaspora and a more effective management of content aimed at the international public, especially the English-speaking audience.
