FENAPEPRO presents initial LIDOM proposal for new labor agreement

Santo Domingo.- The National Federation of Professional Baseball Players (FENAPEPRO) presented its members with the first proposal sent by the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), marking the beginning of negotiations for the new labor agreement that will replace the current one at the end of the 2025-2026 season. During its annual ordinary assembly, held with the attendance of nearly 50 players representing the six LIDOM teams, fundamental issues were addressed such as the future of free agency, the possible implementation of a salary arbitration system, the economic report of the last period, and new proposals to improve the conditions of the players. An update was also offered on the organization of the All-Star Game between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico leagues, scheduled for November 15 at Citi Field in New York. In addition, possible agreements with Asian summer leagues and the creation of an annual fee for affiliates were discussed.
