Police arrest "Deivy La Rata" for robbery in residence in Santiago

Santiago.- Agents of the National Police arrested a man accused of stealing electrical materials from a house located in the Hato Mayor sector, in Santiago, in an event that was recorded by surveillance cameras. The detainee was identified as David Antonio Peralta Rodríguez, alias “Deivy La Rata,” captured through arrest warrant No. 2025-AJ0081226, following an investigation carried out by members of the Property Crimes Investigation Section of the Mary López detachment. According to the complaint, the theft occurred on the night of November 21, 2025, when the residence was closed and unoccupied. The defendant allegedly scaled the perimeter fence on the left side of the house and stole about 60 feet of wire belonging to an electrical extension connected to the security camera system.

The owner indicated that the criminal act was captured by the video surveillance equipment and that the now-detained person allegedly has stolen belongings from him on previous occasions, situations that were also reported to the authorities. The Police reported that Peralta Rodríguez will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office in the coming hours, so that the corresponding legal measures can be applied.
