Units from Civil Defense, the Santiago Fire Department, and other rescue organizations arrived at the scene, and their members are carrying out persuasion efforts to prevent the man from committing a regrettable act. Authorities have restricted vehicle passage while carrying out the operation, which has intensified the traffic jam in both directions. Dozens of onlookers have gathered around the bridge, increasing collective concern about the possibility of a tragic outcome. Some citizens pointed out that this viaduct has become one of the most recurrent points for this type of incident in Santiago, which reopens the debate on the need for greater prevention and surveillance measures in the area. So far, the authorities have not offered additional details about the man's emotional state or possible relatives located. The rescue operation is still active.
