Mayors of the Valdesia Region condemn the murder of a municipal server in Santiago

Azua. – The mayors that make up the Valdesia Region of the Dominican Federation of Municipalities expressed their most energetic condemnation and deep solidarity following the murder of a municipal servant that occurred in Santiago.

Through an official statement, the municipal authorities deplored the death of David Carlos Abreu Quesada, who worked as a driver of a solid waste collection truck, and described the act as an act of barbarism that mourns the entire municipal sector of the country.

In the document, the councilors highlighted that the worker was a victim of "unjustifiable and unacceptable" violence while performing his duties in the service of the community, which has generated consternation among local authorities.

Likewise, they expressed their condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased, while supporting the statement of the president of FEDOMU, Nelson Núñez, who also referred to the seriousness of the event.
