Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader is among the ten presidents with the highest approval rating in Latin America, according to the regional presidential image ranking for April 2026.
The study, prepared by CB Consultora Opinión Pública, places Abinader in fourth position, with 58.7% positive image, placing him within the group of leaders who exceed 50% citizen support in their respective countries.
The measurement reflects a scenario where approval is concentrated in a small group of presidents. In that context, the Dominican president remains one of the best-rated leaders in the region, only behind Nayib Bukele (70.1%), Claudia Sheinbaum (69.8%) and Rodrigo Chaves (59.5%).
The report also indicates that, after this group, a second block of leaders with relatively high approval levels is configured, which shows consolidated leadership in the midst of a regional context where support tends to decrease progressively outside the top positions.
The ranking was compiled from more than 40,000 interviews conducted in 18 Latin American countries between April 13 and 18, with a margin of error between 1.9% and 2.2% and a confidence level of 95%.
The results confirm that Abinader remains one of the political figures with the greatest image capital in the region, in a panorama marked by wide differences between the approval levels of the different Latin American leaders.
