Santo Domingo.- Edesur Dominicana put into operation the new Alfa electrical substation, which is added to the system to offer greater energy quality to more than 257 thousand clients in the National District, the municipalities of Santo Domingo Oeste and Los Alcarrizos.
The work, which has an investment of over RD$128.2 million, will contribute to greater efficiency, quality, and stability of the electricity service.
Additionally, it includes the commissioning of a new 40-megavolt-ampere (MVA) power transformer, which will handle voltage levels of 69/12.5 kV.
Also, two new circuits were enabled and sections of electrical networks were built in the areas of greatest demand, which also contribute with strategic interconnection of seven circuits to facilitate the transfer of energy.
