The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and SMEs (MICM) reported that the Dominican Government allocated RD$954.9 million in subsidies to keep LPG frozen, while it arranged upward and downward adjustments for the week of May 30 to June 5.
The price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil and its derivatives, a benchmark for our country, has remained volatile in international markets in recent days, forcing price adjustments.
For this week, premium gasoline and optimal diesel will receive a readjustment of RD$4.00 pesos per gallon, and regular gasoline and diesel of RD$2.00.
Likewise, decreases of RD$23.15 for avtur, RD$25.00 for kerosene, RD$9.77 for fuel oil #6 and RD$11.18 for fuel oil #1 were arranged.
With current prices, the Government is subsidizing consumers with each gallon of fuel they buy as follows: in LPG with RD$16.97, premium gasoline with RD$28.41, regular gasoline with RD$47.81, regular diesel with RD$57.81 and in optimal diesel with RD$61.43, in order not to transfer the total cost of the same to the population.
The subsidies that the Government has allocated to fuels so far this year are approaching RD$18 billion, as part of the plan to mitigate the impact of the crisis in the Middle East on the pockets of the most vulnerable.
For the week of May 30 to June 5, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes stipulates that fuels be sold at the following prices:
Premium Gasoline will be sold at RD$335.10 per gallon, up RD$4.00.
Regular Gasoline RD$307.50 per gallon goes up RD$2.00.
Regular Gasoline RD$259.80 per gallon increases RD$2.00.
Gasoil Óptimo RD$287.10 per gallon increases RD$4.00.
Avtur RD$277.02 per gallon decreases RD$23.15.
Kerosene RD$314.70 per gallon, down RD$25.00.
Fuel Oil #6 RD$194.06 per gallon down RD$9.77.
Fuel Oil 1%S RD$215.10 per gallon down RD$11.18.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) RD$137.20 per gallon maintains its price.
Natural Gas RD$43.97 per m3 maintains its price.
The average weekly exchange rate is RD$59.32, according to the daily publications of the Central Bank.
