Santo Domingo. - According to the Dominican Republic's Meteorology Institute (INDOMET), the meteorological conditions of the Dominican territory will continue under the influence of a trough in the upper levels of the troposphere and, together with the humidity left by a tropical wave, will maintain the favorable environment for some cloudiness with passing showers and isolated thunderstorms to occur from early hours and throughout the morning, mainly in Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, La Altagracia, La Romana, San Pedro de Macorís, Peravia, Azua, Barahona and Pedernales.
While during the afternoon, rainfall will be in the form of moderate to heavy showers, thunderstorms, wind gusts and possible hail, in towns of La Vega, San Juan, Elías Piña, Dajabón, Santiago Rodríguez, Valverde, Puerto Plata, Santiago and Azua, among other nearby ones.
Tomorrow Saturday, the interaction of the trough in the upper levels of the troposphere with the approach of a tropical wave, will be generating from noon onwards, local showers, thunderstorms and wind gusts, over locations of Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Santiago, San Juan, Elías Piña, Azua, Dajabón and Santiago Rodríguez, among others nearby. In sectors of Monte Plata, Santo Domingo, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, La Altagracia and La Romana, some local showers (passing rains) with isolated thunderstorms will occur, especially in the afternoon.
