Santo Domingo. – President Luis Abinader announced that he will hold a meeting with former President Leonel Fernández next Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the headquarters of Funglode, as part of a dialogue effort with the national political leadership to address issues of strategic interest, especially the situation in Haiti.
The information was offered during his participation this Monday in La Semanal con la Prensa, where he explained that the meeting with Fernández is part of the same line as the one he recently held with former President Danilo Medina, president of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD).

"We met with President Danilo Medina and now we are going to meet with President Leonel Fernández next Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Funglode," said Abinader. During the previous meeting with Medina, held at the PLD National House, the president addressed issues related to the Haitian crisis, the position of the Dominican Republic in international organizations such as the UN and the OAS, and the need to establish a unified position as a country.
