Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) issued a green alert this Wednesday for twelve provinces, after the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported the occurrence of showers in those demarcations due to a trough plus the approach of a frontal system.
The provinces on alert are Espaillat, Samaná, Hermanas Mirabal, Montecristi, María Trinidad Sánchez, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, San José de Ocoa, Duarte, Santiago, Puerto Plata and Sánchez Ramírez. The measure was adopted in the face of possible rises in rivers, streams, ravines, and gullies, as well as flash floods.You may be interested in: Emergency Operations Center (COE)
