Santo Domingo.– The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMED) reported that for this Monday, variable weather conditions are expected, starting with some morning cloudiness that will cause weak showers over the northeast and southeast regions of the country.
However, during the afternoon and early evening hours, local showers are forecast, accompanied by thunderstorms and wind gusts, due to the effects of daytime heating, the local orography, and a weak upper-level trough.

Rainfall will mainly affect isolated areas of the provinces of La Altagracia, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, Gran Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Santiago Rodríguez, Azua (northern part), San Juan and Dajabón.
For this Tuesday, the weather will be influenced by an anticyclonic system, so in the morning hours a mostly sunny sky will prevail with little rain. However, in the afternoon, scattered showers could be recorded with the possibility of thunderstorms and wind gusts in locations such as Hato Mayor, San Pedro de Macorís, Gran Santo Domingo, the Central Mountain Range, and the border area. These conditions will remain until the early hours of the night.
The temperatures will be slightly warm during the day, and pleasant to cool at night and dawn, especially in mountainous areas and inland valleys, where fogs or mists could form.

• Distrito Nacional: scattered clouds to partly cloudy with isolated showers in the afternoon.
• Santo Domingo Norte: scattered clouds to partly cloudy in the afternoon with possible showers.
• Santo Domingo Este: scattered clouds to partly cloudy with scattered showers in the afternoon.
