Santo Domingo.- The Second Collegiate Tribunal of the National District declared not guilty, early this Thursday, to Carmen Magalys Medina Sánchez and Fernando Rosa, who faced charges of alleged embezzlement and administrative corruption in an operation that would have moved more than one billion pesos.
Both were pointed out by the Public Ministry for benefiting, directly or indirectly, from the network led by Alexis Medina Sánchez. In the trial, the prosecution affirmed that, from their positions as president and vice president of the Patrimonial Fund of Reformed Companies (Fonper), they allowed companies linked to Medina Sánchez to be winners in multiple tenders without noticing that they shared the same partners.
