Preventive prison for one month imposed on students who assaulted a professor in Villa Consuelo

Santo Domingo.- The Children and Adolescents Court of the National District ordered one month of preventive detention as a coercive measure against two students accused of assaulting a teacher from the Liceo Juan Pablo Duarte, located in the Villa Consuelo sector. The decision was made after evaluating the circumstances of the event that occurred last Thursday, when the students allegedly beat the teacher inside the educational center.

For legal reasons and in compliance with regulations that protect the identity of minors in conflict with criminal law, the names of those involved were not disclosed.

The court ordered the teenagers to comply with the precautionary measure at the Comprehensive Care Center for Adolescents in Conflict with the Penal Law, known as Ciudad del Niño, while the investigations of the case proceed.
