The President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, will receive this Thursday in Washington the International Leadership Award, granted by the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI).
During his official visit to the U.S. capital, Abinader maintains an agenda that includes a meeting with the United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio. Earlier, he meets with Dominican-born Congressman Adriano Espaillat, with whom he addresses issues of common interest to both countries.
The award recognizes his career and commitment to democratic strengthening and Latin leadership at the international level.
