Master builder dies after structure collapse at construction site in Higüey

Santo Domingo.- A master builder identified as Isidro Pache, about 48 years old, died on Tuesday afternoon while working on a house under construction in the Villa Cerro sector, in Higüey.

According to preliminary versions from witnesses, the worker was removing wood from a staircase within the construction site when part of the structure gave way, causing the accident. People present tried to help him immediately; however, the worker lost his life at the scene. The circumstances of the event have not been officially detailed, while further information about what happened is awaited.
