Rubby Pérez received one million pesos to drop legal actions against Antonio Espaillat

Santo Domingo.- Teoaris Miguel Báez Polanco, husband of Zulinka Pérez, received the sum of one million Dominican pesos in exchange for withdrawing from any legal action related to the tragedy at the Jet Set nightclub. Báez Polanco and Zulinka Pérez, son-in-law and daughter of the merengue singer Rubby Pérez, signed a legal dismissal agreement with the aim of "Definitively, absolutely, irrevocably desist from any legal and right consequences derived from any interest, right, counterpart, compensation, claim, complaint, demand or action of any nature against Inversiones E y L S.R.L.", says the notarized document.

The check dated May 27th is part of the evidence presented by the defense of Antonio Espaillat López and Maribel Espaillat de Veras for the Jet Set case, which left 236 dead and more than 180 injured, and ends any possible legal dispute between the parties.
