Following the established protocol and under the instructions of the prosecutor, the boxes were opened, finding in each one, five packages, for a total of 10, all wrapped in green plastic bags and weighing approximately 14 pounds. The vegetable bales were found inside the boxes in clothing and wrapped in green covers, which were sent by a woman with a supposed address on 6C Street, Manhattan, New York and would be received by an individual, who according to the manifest resides in the Villa III Residential, in Santo Domingo. The Public Ministry and the DNCD "investigate the frustrated shipment of the substance, while they continue to redouble joint efforts to neutralize the drug trafficking networks that try to use airports and ports to traffic narcotic substances through different modalities", the statement concluded.
