Gisela Pérez described the experience as positive and beneficial for economic development. “For me it has been the best, truly. For the economy, for them to embrace those delicious products. Truly, it is a success,” she expressed. Other visitors highlighted the exhibition of agricultural products from different regions of the country. Guillermina Benítez noted that what caught her attention the most were the traditional crops of the south. "I have been drawn to the fruits of my region, the banana plantations, the coffee and the vegetables. Everything comes from agriculture," she stated, while valuing the advances that farmers have experienced thanks to access to machinery and better means of transport. For her part, María Antonia Benítez considered that initiatives like this contribute to making national production visible and to strengthening the recognition of field work. "That's very good, because before the agriculture or our products were not exhibited so much, but now with the tourism that exists it is very important that it is valued and that all this is known," she stated. The National Agricultural Fair 2026 was inaugurated this Thursday with the presence of President Luis Abinader and will take place until March 22nd with livestock exhibitions, agricultural products, machinery and technology demonstrations, as well as spaces for commercialization, auctions, educational and cultural activities aimed at both producers and the general public.
