Woman found dead in Las Terrenas residence; authorities investigate

Las Terrenas, Samaná, RD. – A woman was found dead inside a residence located in the sector Caño Seco, of the municipality of Las Terrenas, province Samaná, a fact that has generated consternation among the residents of the area. The deceased was identified as Betania Rodríguez Siriaco, 40 years old, originally from the municipality of Sánchez, Samaná province, according to the personal documents found at the scene.

According to preliminary information, the body was found inside the bathroom of the house. The circumstances of the event are under investigation, so the competent authorities will be in charge of officially determining the cause of death. Members of the National Police attended the scene, accompanied by a medical examiner, who carried out the removal of the body and the corresponding procedures. Subsequently, the body was transferred for autopsy purposes. Authorities indicated that they are awaiting the report from the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) and the Attorney General's Office, with the aim of fully clarifying this case.
