Caracas.- The state-owned Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) confirmed this Wednesday that it is in a negotiation process with the United States for the sale of "volumes" of crude oil, after President Donald Trump assured that the Caracas Executive is willing to give them 30 to 50 million barrels of oil.
The negotiation is carried out, according to the entity in a statement, "within the framework of the commercial relations that exist between both countries".

The Venezuelan company explains that the process is carried out under schemes similar to those in force with international companies, such as Chevron, and "is based on a strictly commercial transaction, with criteria of legality, transparency and benefit" for both parties. "PDVSA ratifies its commitment to continue building alliances that promote national development in favor of the Venezuelan people and that contribute to global energy stability," concludes the statement.
