Santo Domingo, RD - The Dominican music industry in 2025 witnessed the emergence of young talents from various genres, who, with innovative proposals, attractive fusions and an authentic style, managed to stand out and position themselves among the most listened to of the year. Artists from genres such as typical merengue, bachata, dembow and rap, connected with the public and achieved notable recognition for their art. Among them are Dalvin La Melodía, Los Sufridos, Daniel Galán, Ebenezer Guerra, Arlene MC, Junaa, Jezzy El Chef de los Versos, El Grupaso and La Más Doll.

1. Dalvin La Melodía
   Dalvin Antonio Núñez, artistically known as Dalvin La Melodía, was one of the great musical surprises of 2025. With his song "Mi Reina", composed by Martin Aquino and released at the end of 2024, the young bachatero surpassed 37 million views on YouTube. In addition, his bachata version of “Chiquilla bonita”, an adaptation of the classic by Marco Antonio Solís, also added millions of views.

This year, Dalvin had the opportunity to collaborate with two bachata greats, Romeo Santos and Prince Royce, on the song "Menor", the only collaboration on the new album by the legendary bachateros "Better Late Than Never". 2. Ebenezer Guerra

Before rising to fame, Ebenezer worked in the hotel industry, but the pandemic changed his destiny, leading him to do informal jobs like window cleaning. However, his music, especially the song “Bolero Típico” released in November 2024, catapulted him to fame, achieving millions of views. His collaboration with El Blachy on the remix of this song was also a great success. Other of his most popular songs include “Hipócrita”, “NSSI” (with Yailin La Más Viral), and the successful “Auto diagnóstico”. Ebenezer debuted in the international market by participating in the 2025 Billboard Awards alongside Elvis Crespo, Toño Rosario, and La Insuperable.

3. Arlene MC
   Arlene Mota Cedano, artistically known as Arlene MC, is one of the most outstanding and authentic female voices in the urban genre in the Dominican Republic. With her song “Mamazota”, which surpassed 72 million views on YouTube, Arlene quickly connected with the youth audience and reaffirmed her identity in 2025.

Their repertoire includes songs like “Bomper”, “Recoqueo”, “Ete Coco”, “Las Villanas” and “Qué pasa”, which have consolidated their presence on the main digital platforms. One of their most recent releases, “Celoso”, is a modern reinterpretation of the classic by Las Chicas del Can, to which they imprinted their personal touch, fusing dembow with merengue.

4. Jezzy El Chef de los Versos
   Jessy Leonardo Lorenzo Rodríguez, artistically known as Jezzy El Chef de los Versos, is one of the most solid artists in Dominican urban music. With an extensive discography that includes songs like “Borlaring”, “Preso a 30”, “Guerra”, “Sinsenti” and “Ubicación y foto”, Jezzy has managed to position himself as one of the great promises of dembow.

This 2025, his theme “What a feeling” became a resounding success, especially after the collaboration with Arcángel on the remix, which led him to conquer important Latin American markets, along with the renowned Puerto Rican artist.

5. Daniel Galán
   Also known as “The Most Wanted Typical,” Daniel Galán is a singer and instrumentalist of typical merengue who in 2025 managed to position his song “La Chiflera – Qué palomo” as one of the most popular and listened to songs in the Dominican Republic. This song is a modern version of the classic merengue “La Chiflera,” which became a viral hit.

Although Galán has been pursuing an artistic career for over three years, it was in 2025 when his music began to be recognized nationally, establishing himself as one of the new promises of typical merengue.

6. Junaa
   Junaa, also known as Yk It’s Junna, is a young Dominican talent based in the United States. At 19 years old, he has managed to stand out internationally with hits like “Tour”, “Repeat” and “Envenenado”. His participation in the program “La Casa de Alofoke” allowed him to get closer to his followers and share the excitement for the achievements he has reached in his career.

7. El Grupaso
   El Grupaso is a typical music group led by Jorge Lewis (lead vocals), Julio Swing and Ronald Tambora, who surprised this 2025 with an innovative and modern proposal, after more than ten years of experience with the Urbanda group. Although the division of the group occurred this year, El Grupaso managed to maintain its relevance, connecting with both its usual audience and new generations.

The group has become one of the most hired for Christmas and New Year's events, demonstrating the connection they have achieved with the public.

8. The Suffered
   The Suffered is a collective of producers and artists that has revolutionized bachata by fusing it with urban sounds, creating a "tougher and streetwise" style compared to traditional bachata. The group, formed by Cromo X, T.Y.S and Mitiko, has managed to position itself in several international markets.

Among his most outstanding hits are “No Lo Vi A Ninguno”, “Lleno Contigo”, “Lo Tiguerone También Lloran” and the collaboration with the Spanish artist Bad Gyal in “Duro De Verdad”.

9. La Más Doll
   Dahiana Guzmán, artistically known as La Más Doll, established herself in 2025 as one of the main female exponents of the new generation of the Dominican urban genre. On digital platforms, her songs quickly gained popularity, especially on TikTok, where several of her tracks went viral.
