Layza Moory defines 2026 as the year of her artistic evolution

Santo Domingo, RD-. Dominican singer and songwriter Layza Moory began 2026 marking a point of maturity and consolidation in her artistic career, with a renewed musical proposal within traditional bachata, a growing international projection and a firm social commitment that connects her with her roots. During the year 2025, Layza developed a work agenda focused on her artistic and creative growth, which included training processes, music camps, and the recording of the first songs of her next record project. This preparation stage culminates with the release of "Se acabó el abuso", a version of Anthony Santos' iconic song, which officially marks her entry into traditional bachata.

In this reinterpretation, Layza Moory appropriates the story from a female perspective, transforming heartbreak into a message of empowerment, courage, and sensuality, achieving a natural connection with new audiences. The single is accompanied by an audiovisual and is available on all digital platforms under the distribution of La Oreja Media.

“I feel 100% comfortable. Bachata is basically my home, my roots. It's the music I listened to every day while growing up,” says Layza, who confesses that the change from pop to traditional bachata came naturally and without resistance.

The public's response has been positive and, in many cases, surprising at this new artistic facet. For Layza, this stage represents a process of consolidation, with clear plans for 2026, a year in which she plans to release between four and five new songs, including a new bachata scheduled for the month of March. Parallel to her musical growth, Layza Moory continues to develop social actions that reflect her human sensitivity. On January 6th, as every year, she held a charity event in her hometown of Villa Duarte, where she gave toys to children in the community. "When I was little, I experienced firsthand what it meant not to have toys on a day like that. That's why I always go back to my neighborhood and share with the children," says the artist. On the international stage, his music begins to resonate outside the Dominican Republic, with a presence in Spain and new initiatives in Mexico, where a musical challenge is being prepared with the Mystic Flow Weekend dance academy, within the framework of International Women's Day. Layza has also strengthened her presence on important stages, recently standing out as Pavel Núñez's counterpart during one of the celebration concerts for his 25-year career. After her performance, she was invited by the singer-songwriter to perform the song "Agonizando" with him, receiving a notable ovation from the audience. Excited about the moment she's experiencing, Layza sums up this stage with enthusiasm: "I'm beyond excited and crazy because people will see everything that's in my head."
