The Human Resources director of the company Astronomer, Kristin Cabot, who was caught in July dancing with the former CEO of this firm, Andy Byron, by the 'kisscam' at the concert of the British band Coldplay, broke the silence, alleging that the two were not in romantic relationships.
Cabot, 53, remained silent for months, but finally addressed the incident publicly, explaining that it was a mistake caused by alcohol. In her interview with The New York Times, the woman recalled that she and Byron had a couple of tequila cocktails each, and as the concert progressed, they began to seem like a couple. In her account, she insisted that that night was the first and only time they kissed.

She memorized that, when she saw her own image on a giant screen, in which she was hugging her then boss, she had two thoughts: that her ex-husband was also at the concert and that Byron was her boss. "I was so ashamed and horrified", she confessed. "I am the head of Human Resources and he is the CEO. It's a cliché and a pity", she expressed, adding that then, the two of them immediately began to think about how to manage the matter and agreed to inform the board of directors of the company. The event occurred at a time when Cabot was going through the divorce process with her husband and decided to go out with friends, because she liked the band. "Maybe a part of my brain was jumping up and down and waving its arms, saying: 'Don't do this'", she said, adding that, at that time, she allowed herself to "have a crush", because she was sure she could handle it.
After the story went viral, for weeks she received 500 or 600 calls a day, paparazzi camped in front of her house and cars drove slowly down her block, "like a parade," she recalled. She also received death threats: "Not 900. That came out in People magazine. I received 50 or 60," she told me.
