Yameiry Josefina Infante Honoret, artistically known as La Materialista, was born on March 19, 1986 in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. She is a Dominican singer, songwriter, actress, model, and influencer, considered as one of the pioneers of female rap in the country and a key figure in the evolution of dembow and urban music internationally.

From a young age, she showed aptitude for singing and dancing, participating in school competitions and developing her talent at the National School of Visual Arts. The youngest child and only woman among three siblings, she always had the support of her parents. She began studying Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), but abandoned it when she moved to Santo Domingo to dedicate herself fully to music.

Musical career

Her professional career began in 2006 as part of the group Alia2, where her stage name "La Materialista" was born. In 2008, she launched as a solo artist and debuted with songs that quickly became popular on Dominican radio, such as “Mundo Oscuro”, a song with social criticism that marked her combative and authentic style.

In the year 2014, she reached the highest point of her career with the global hit “Las Chapas Que Vibran”, achieving over 200 million views on YouTube and becoming the first Dominican female urban artist to obtain a VEVO Certified.
