New York.- A 72-year-old Hispanic woman was found dead in front of the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG), in The Bronx, in a case that remains under police investigation.
The victim was identified as Lydia Marzán. According to reports from News 12, the body presented visible injuries to the hands and head. A spokesperson for the New York City Police Department (NYPD) informed Norwood News that at 6:49 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, officers responded to a 911 call about a person needing assistance at 2900 Southern Boulevard, address of the NYBG. "Upon arrival, the agents found a 72-year-old woman unconscious and immobile. That same month, another event alarmed the authorities. On Friday, December 12, around 11:30 a.m., the police located human remains in a wooded area of Van Cortlandt Park, north of the Norwood neighborhood, near the Major Deegan Expressway. The NYPD confirmed that this investigation is also ongoing.So far, no arrests have been made nor have suspects been identified in either case.
