Maduro confirms the start of training for the Bolivarian Militia in 312 barracks throughout the country

Caracas.- The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, convened this Friday the citizens who recently enlisted in the Bolivarian Militia to a training day in weapons handling and other operational matters in 312 barracks, as part of the defensive strategy that the South American country is carrying out to face the US naval deployment south of the Caribbean Sea.

"Tomorrow Saturday, starting at 9:00 a.m., the people are going to their barracks, the people are going to their military units. A total of 312 barracks have been arranged throughout the territory of the republic. Militiamen, militiamen, enlisted men, enlisted women, men and women of the people will receive a message to go to a phase of combat training and cohesion in the military barracks. There they will have training in the handling of weapons systems, organization of operations, everything that is the development of habits and skills in the deployment of military operations, all the mechanisms of convocation and activation", detailed the president in a video broadcast on his Telegram channel.

Maduro took the opportunity to highlight the success of Operation Independence 200, launched the previous day to deploy military forces in 284 strategic points of Venezuelan territory.

"The order of operations began to be delivered through the different channels at 2:00 a.m. At 5:00 a.m. the entire country was covered by the military force, by the militia force and by the mobilized people. It has been an absolute success of our peace plan," he pointed out.
