Bogotá.- Colombian President Gustavo Petro said this Friday that there were "boatmen" who survived one of the attacks perpetrated by the U.S. against alleged drug traffickers in Pacific waters as part of the military operation Lanza del Sur, which is also carried out in the Caribbean Sea.
"Notice to all governments in the area. This appears to be the exact zone where the boatmen who jumped from bombed vessels fell. It is known that three people died, the rest remained alive because they jumped into the sea", expressed the president on X, where he published the map of the point -near Mexico and Guatemala- where the US attack was supposedly launched.
The United States announced a new attack launched on December 31 against two boats also in international waters, without giving more information, in which five people died. This happened one day after sinking three other vessels that allegedly transported drugs in the Pacific or the Caribbean, which left three dead. You may be interested in: http://Petro responds to Trump's harsh threat
