Although he has already secured his ticket to the 400-meter final in Zurich, Paulino chose not to rest and compete in a distance that allows him to maintain a competitive pace before the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, which will be held from September 13 to 21. With 24 points, Paulino comfortably leads the Diamond League standings and is, so far, the only athlete with a guaranteed spot in the grand final. In Lausanne, the Creole sprinter will compete against elite rivals, including six Olympic finalists from Paris in the 200 meters: American Brittany Brown (bronze), the British Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita (fourth and fifth), and the Nigerian Favour Ofili (seventh). Also present will be the Swiss Léonie Pointet and the Ivorian Marie-Josée Ta Lou-Smith. Source: Diario Libre.
