With this triumph, the Vultures become the second finalist of the contest and will face, starting this Sunday, December 21st from 12:00 noon, the Wolves of Canastica, in a final series agreed to the best of five games (5-3). The Lavapiés team dominated the match from start to finish, supported by solid team play and a suffocating defense that neutralized Pueblo Nuevo's main offensive weapons.

Protagonists of the triumph

Among the most outstanding players of the winning team was the versatile King Abad, who recorded a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds, dominating in the paint and being key in offensive rebounds. Point guard Randy Bautista shone in the game's conduction by contributing 12 points and 15 assists, establishing himself as the organizing axis of the offense and setting the fast pace that characterized the team throughout the match. Likewise, Jeison Colomé, always reliable, scored 22 points, demonstrating his usual scoring ability from different areas of the perimeter. Alongside him, Isaac Soler completed the task with 21 points, being effective both from long distance and in penetrations towards the basket.

Pueblo Nuevo fell short

For the Pueblo Nuevo team, who couldn't repeat the performance of the previous day, the Suero brothers were the most outstanding. Gerardo Suero contributed 17 points, while Juan Miguel Suero added 14 units; however, they couldn't find the rhythm or the effectiveness that characterizes them.

Rubén Mejía, who had good moments throughout the tournament, finished with 10 points, but was well contained by the defense implemented by the coaching staff of the Vultures.

Early end

With this victory, the Vultures confirm their status as serious contenders for the title, reaching the final in great shape, led by a core of experienced players hungry for the championship. For their part, the Lobos de Canastica, who eliminated Ciro Pérez in the other semifinal, also arrive with great momentum, led by Edgar Tejeda and Juan Rosario, in a series that promises to be vibrant and full of local talent. The grand final, agreed to the best of five games (5-3), begins this Sunday, December 21st at 12:00 noon, in a setting that promises to be packed with fans passionate about the best basketball in the south of the country. The tournament is organized by the San Cristóbal Basketball Association (ABASANCRIS), chaired by Eddy Montás, and has the support of the Ministry of Sports, headed by engineer Kelvin Cruz, as well as the support of the Banco de Reservas and the Dominican Hydroelectric Generation Company (EGEHID). The general admission is maintained at an affordable cost of 100 pesos per person, guaranteeing a family-friendly, safe, and highly competitive event.
