INEFI delivers a massive amount of sports equipment to more than 100 schools in the country for the start of the school year

SANTO DOMINGO, D.R. – The National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI) carried out a simultaneous delivery of sports equipment in educational centers in different regions of the country, as part of its commitment to ensure that the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year is carried out with the necessary conditions to promote physical activity and student recreation. You may be interested in:Dominican delegation seeks first place in the second edition of the NACAM Games The deliveries covered schools in Santiago, San Cristóbal, La Vega, Higüey, Puerto Plata, Barahona, Santo Domingo Este, Mao, Nagua, Monte Cristi and Gran Santo Domingo, impacting thousands of students in more than a hundred schools and high schools. INEFI's CEO, Alberto Rodríguez, led a delivery at the Juan Pablo Duarte High School, in the National District, highlighting that said supply is part of the plan to strengthen physical education and school sports throughout the Dominican Republic. "With this action, we reaffirm that school sports are a priority of the government of President Luis Abinader. We want every student, regardless of the region in which they live, to have access to the equipment and material necessary to practice sports, because that means health, integration, and better development opportunities," Rodríguez said. Meanwhile, former Major League Baseball player Nelson Cruz did the same in 10 schools in Regional 13 corresponding to Monte Cristi province.
