Kevin Durant's time with the Phoenix Suns has come to an end. After two and a half seasons with the Arizona team, Kevin Durant has been traded to the Houston Rockets.
The Houston team was one along with Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs, the favorite destinations of the two-time NBA champion in case of being traded. It seemed that San Antonio could have the lead in achieving Durant's transfer, but in the end it was the Rockets who took KD.

The Rockets have sent the Suns a package consisting of Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the number 10 pick of this year's draft and five second-round picks. Houston Rockets finished second in the regular season, but their performance in the playoffs (eliminated in the first round) made it clear that the Texan team needed a player who could take on the role of first sword in attack. The following season will be the sixteenth for Durant, but he has shown that, despite his 36 years, he is still current to be the star of a 'contender' team. KD had better scoring statistics than any player on his new team. The two-time NBA Finals MVP averaged 26.6 points, 4.2 assists, and 5.7 rebounds during his past season. Durant (54 million) will be the highest paid player for the Rockets, surpassing the almost 34 million of Sengun or the possible 44 million that VanVleet can earn. With this transfer, the Suns close the stage of the duo formed by Booker and Durant and receive a talented young player like Jalen Green, as well as a good selection in one of the most talented drafts of recent years.
