Puerto Leguízamo, Colombia. – A C-130 Hercules aircraft of the Aerospace Force Confirm at least eight deaths and 83 injuries in military plane crash in Colombia crashed this Monday morning in the south of the country, leaving a preliminary balance of dozens of victims including deaths and injuries.
The aircraft, which was carrying more than a hundred military personnel, crashed shortly after taking off in the department of Putumayo, which immediately activated a large emergency operation by the Military Forces.
Rescue teams and medical units were deployed in the area to assist survivors, while several injured people were transferred to hospitals.
The authorities confirmed the opening of an investigation to determine the causes of the accident, while calling on citizens to handle the information with caution.
