Santo Domingo.– Starting November 15th, medium and large taxpayers must migrate to the electronic invoicing system established by Law 32-23, a decisive step that will transform the way of doing business in the country and that requires companies to adapt quickly to an increasingly competitive technological environment.
In this scenario, Alegra.com, the accounting software pioneer in integrating artificial intelligence into its solutions, presented the event "AlegraIA, the new era of billing and accounting," with the aim of accompanying professionals and entrepreneurs in this transition.
The General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) recently reported that it has surpassed 1,000 million electronic invoices issued in the country, and announced the delivery of 30,000 free digital certificates until September 2025. In line with this progress, Alegra.com acquired more than 600 certificates that it will offer free of charge to companies interested in immediately starting the electronic invoicing process.
Since its arrival in the Dominican Republic in 2014, Alegra.com has consolidated a community of more than 225,000 users, who have issued more than 50 million electronic invoices through the platform. Thanks to the integration of artificial intelligence, small and medium-sized enterprises, which represent 98% of the business fabric and generate more than 54% of national employment, will be able to reduce up to 90% of the time dedicated to accounting tasks, thus strengthening their competitiveness in an increasingly digital market.“With AlegraIA we are showing the future of accounting in Latin America. It is an invitation to rethink how Dominican companies can grow in an environment where artificial intelligence and electronic invoicing become the new standard. We believe that those who adopt these tools today will be better prepared to compete tomorrow,” said Jorge Soto, CEO and co-founder of Alegra.com.
