Santo Domingo. – Arajet, the flag carrier airline of the Dominican Republic, officially inaugurated its new corporate offices in an event that brought together authorities, strategic allies, and representatives of the media, where it also presented the achievements made during the year 2025 and its vision for growth for 2026.
Arajet's CEO and founder, Víctor Pacheco Méndez, highlighted the historic performance achieved by the airline during the past year. “2025 was an extraordinary year for Arajet. We transported 1,480,278 passengers, representing a 37% growth compared to the previous year. Of that total, more than 1.2 million flew from or to the Dominican Republic, which demonstrates the direct impact of our operation on the country's tourism and connectivity,” expressed Pacheco Méndez.

He also highlighted that between July and December 2025, Arajet positioned itself as the third most important airline in passenger movement to and from the Dominican Republic, and in 2026 they project to transport more than 2 million passengers. Pacheco announced that this year they will inaugurate Cargo services at Arajet, in addition to launching the loyalty program and a credit card of the brand, as well as the inauguration of new routes in both South America and the United States. During the activity, Arajet's role as a key asset for the development of Dominican tourism was highlighted, thanks to its impact on air connectivity, the increase in the flow of visitors and its contribution to the sustainability of the sector, consolidating itself as the Dominican airline with the highest growth in the country. In that sense, the strategic relevance of Punta Cana International Airport and Las Américas International Airport was underscored as axes of regional expansion, strengthening the connection of the Caribbean with North America, Central America, and South America, and positioning the Dominican Republic as the new Air Hub of the American Continent. Among the most relevant milestones of 2025, Arajet's entry into the United States market with routes to New York, Miami, Puerto Rico, Chicago, Orlando, and Boston stood out, as well as its incorporation into the International Air Transport Association (IATA), becoming the first Dominican airline in 30 years to achieve this membership. Currently, Arajet operates a fleet of 13 aircraft and plans to close 2026 with 17 planes, with new additions scheduled between March and autumn of this year.
