San Cristóbal. - The National Commissioner of Baseball, Junior Noboa, formally inaugurated this Friday the fifth version of the U12 Children's Baseball Classic Banreservas Cup, in an act held in the municipality of Yaguate, where national authorities, institutional representatives, leaders, coaches and dozens of families gathered to support the future talents of Dominican baseball.
The board of directors was headed by Junior Noboa, National Baseball Commissioner; Abraham Key, president of Pony Baseball & Softball International; Eugenio Báez, president of Pony Dominicana; and the Business Director of BanReservas, Pedro Esteban, accompanied by Wilfredo de la Rosa, Regional Manager. Sardis Rivas, representative of the Yaguate Region of BanReservas, also took part in the event.
Everyone reaffirmed their support for formative sports and the mission of creating safe spaces filled with opportunities for Dominican children.

The event began with the parade of the participating teams, which filled the ceremony with enthusiasm and color. In this fifth version, the representations of El Valle, Capitaleños, Cibao Central, Los Hidalgos, Valdesia, Metropolitanos, Región Este, Los Mineros, Nordeste, Enriquillo, Atléticos and Los Constituyentes compete.
Following, the notes of the Dominican National Anthem were interpreted, performed by the Music Band of the Yaguate Fire Department, directed by Colonel Alfonso Isabel Gutiérrez, giving the act a solemn tone and a deep sense of patriotic pride.
In his keynote speech, National Baseball Commissioner Junior Noboa dedicated a motivational message to the young athletes.
"This tournament is not just a competition, it's an opportunity for each child to discover their potential, strengthen their values, and understand that with discipline and faith, every dream is possible. You are the future of Dominican baseball and we are committed to accompanying you every step of the way," said Noboa.
The ceremony culminated with the first pitch, where Abraham Key served as the honorary pitcher, Junior Noboa as the honorary batter, the Director of Business of BanReservas, Pedro Esteban, acted as the honorary catcher, and the Council of Councilors of Yaguate participated as honorary umpires, thus officially opening the competitions.
The National Baseball Commissioner's Office reaffirmed its commitment to continue supporting initiatives that promote the integral development of Dominican children and youth, using sport as a tool for growth, values, and social transformation.
